Sharing & backups
Your numbers save in this browser — they are not stored inside the file itself. Keep them safe and share them like this:
Back up your data. Click Save backup (top right) to download an Excel file with everything in it. Do this at the end of each month.
Move to a new computer. Open the tracker there, click Import → Restore a backup file, and pick your backup — your whole planner loads.
Send your numbers to someone. Email them your backup file (and the tracker file if they don’t have it). They open the tracker and Import your backup.
Just sending a blank copy? Share the tracker .html file on its own — it opens fresh with the sample data, no numbers attached.
Best practices
Give every dollar a job. Aim for “Left to allocate” to reach $0 each month.
Reconcile weekly. A five-minute check-in beats a month-end scramble.
Set aside taxes as you earn. Move ~25-30% of profit to your tax reserve each month.
Back up regularly. Click Save backup — your data lives only in this browser.
Watch your runway. Keep a 3-month operating reserve so a slow month never hurts.
